There are several things about this Linkedin automated message worth noting. First and foremost: that “architecture” is a skill that one can simply “add”. It makes no sense. Unless we agree that people just go about “architecting”, an umbrella verb for all things architects do which is largely waving one’s hands about in the air. Also, I like that architecture as a skill is in decline. Finally, I wonder if I do have the skills people are looking for. That the real skill is knowing how to do something that nobody is looking for, something that we don’t even realize we need. We don’t need more architecture.
